StephanieStephanie Lowe-Sagebiel has been working in social work practice in Indianapolis for nearly ten years. She began with the Center for Family Life Ministries working primarily with children, teens and their families in January 2004. She also takes part in program development, training and implementation of the New Day for Children of Divorce Program.

Prior to her work with the Center for Family Life Ministries, Stephanie spent several years in community-based social work practice with the John H. Boner Community Center dealing with crisis and emergency planning for families and children of the near eastside. She actively implemented programs to meet the needs of neighborhood children & teens, including: summer camps, after school programs, alternative to suspension programs, holiday programs and therapeutic groups. Stephanie continued her work with local housing and homeless issues with the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention & Prevention (CHIP). It was Stephanie’s primary role at CHIP to assist local congregations in meeting the needs of their low income neighbors.

Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hanover College and completed her MSW at the IU School of Social Work in Indianapolis, IN in 1995. It is her goal to assist families in respecting the processes that each individual and child goes through in crisis, grief and loss and still be able to function as a healthy family unit.
